In fact, I'm surprised that someone invested money in making such a film. A good movie to get mad at. The actors themselves are bored with the script. The only good thing done was the cover of the movie and the description .
I was going to give it 2 stars but I couldn't figure out a reason why to. This is really bad. Normally I try to keep it positive but this is just really bad. Olivia does indeed have the same face all the way through the entire movie. Thomas is easily one of the worst actors I have ever seen. His voice reminds me of Todd from Breaking Bad but more boring. Please don't watch this. A Tubi horror original would be better than this.
Might be ok if you have time to waste on a decently done amatuer film, but I suggest not wasting your time, because acting is dreadful and there are way too many better films to watch.
I managed to finish the movie! It is not like a movie movie , but it is like 4 members with a camera. Black magic, there is no story and active like school days.
A woman puts up with an abusive SO until she breaks free with the help of a stranger at a gas station. He is helpful and understanding, enough that he lets her stay with him until she figures out her next move. This movie is only ok. There are many scenes of her running away, over and again. As realistic as that might be it's a tad tedious when presented tediously. Of course he isn't what he appears to be. The most intriguing thing about this flick is trying to figure out what is going on, but that only holds up if the explanation in the end is enough. In this story it kind of is enough, but the acting isn't.
An exciting director to watch out for! Nate Strayer's first feature shows a deep understanding of storytelling. Circular arcs of some characters and matching shots where's character roles have been switched Nate's writing is impressive in the details of a motion picture. It is thrilling and delivers some chilling visuals. Even more impressive is the size of the crew... which was insanely small in pulling off a feat such as this. Watching the film you would never know. The cinematography is quite stunning at times and the film really takes advantage of beautiful locations. Much like the director I see this cinematographer as something very exciting to watch out for as well!
Normally I'd wish an up-and-coming low-budget flimmaker all the best but this movie is let down by a combination of poor script, mediocre acting and highly dubious messaging that I'm moved to go on IMDB and warn everyone else not to waste 80 minutes of their life on it. It actually starts out promisingly enough as a psychological thriller dealing with domestic abuse but then the message it has about dealing with this problem is just so wrong on every level. A woman is rescued from an abusive boyfriend by someone who seems to be a good samaritan but you know from watching every other ever made that it's not going to be quite this simple. What transpires is simply alarming...the man monitors all her activities, chains her in his basement and prevents her from returning to her family and it turns out to be for the best as this was the only way for her to develop an assertive personality. It's such a horribly misogynistic, pro-big data message that I recommend everyone avoid this movie, which is also let down by very medicore acting and poor script. The one good thing I can say about it is that it looks okay visually for a film made on such a low budget.
I enjoyed this movie beginning to end, especially the twist that slowly unfolds. I love suspense thrillers with twists, and the filmmaker did such a good job of revealing it slowly. Some viewers will see it just a little sooner while others will be delightfully surprised by how it's all pulled together. Enjoy!
This is the worst movie ever! The reviews are totally scripted, probably written by the director's family members! Please do not watch this movie! The actress.. oops.. shes not even an actress.. the lady in the movie has 1 expression.. so does the guy! Worst story plot ever!
