Where do these ratings come from? Just because there's white on black violence, some people rate this garbage 9 and 10/10? The movie's production and execution was amateurish at best and I'm sorry to say it, but the acting was just so bad. No offence to the actors, they might be wonderful people in their everyday lives, but their acting was subpar. Force fed white black drama/propaganda with no context or interesting scenes. The directing was hilariously bad. The score is forgettable and the moral lesson at the end of the movie feels like a 2nd grade poem that you can think of in a few minutes. Maybe it was a honest attempt to show a major American problem (I highly doubt it) , but they failed miserably. Do not waste your time.
Bad acting, bad production. Don't let me get started on the acting of the police officer, it's cringe at its finest.
It is a waste of time , the one star i gave is for the life lesson it gives where you can see it in youtube 5m video.
Many things like this happen on a daily basis in low income neighborhoods also known as (the hood). I have to give these characters props because the roles were played out very well and (believable). I wish all these actors much success in their endeavors.
The story is a story with so much realism and emotions, it's hard to leave not moved in some way. The production is superb and ground breaking. I would recommend this is shown to college kids urban youth. I would see this again.
This movie looks like it was made by force, without any will. There is some action, emotions, girls, but it is all looking tired, not interested, and lasts so short without any details. Because of lack of these details everything looks amateur and fake. You won't see gore, tears, sounds like in cool rare movies. Only reason I did not rate it worst is because it at least has some lessons and emotions and is similar to real life, that's my 3 stars. Not worth watching, will not make you excited. I liked that this movie makes us more aware what is happening around us, especially about justice, law, and police.
I only wrote this because I know without a doubt that the rating this movie got came from those who either turns a blind eye to what's been he happening to minorities-esp people of color-for decades-or, those with the "privilege" of not being "the targeted species."
This movie was really eye opening and inspiring. Today we need as many eye openings as possible and thank Iran Daniels for his vision.
Great story that we have heard and see all over the news every day, but this delivers in a different way. The tone from the beginning gets you hooked on to what happens next. The music is beautiful and well placed throughout the film and feels brand new and refreshing. The length is ok, some acting is not the best, but overall this film is a breath of fresh air.
The System show exactly what's going on in America don't believe the hype there are two Americas and it shows that for more info log on to the website
