I would have liked this movie a whole lot better if I could see it. It was entirely too dark! Yes I understand that they wanted to 'set the mood' for it but at least turn on a lamp in a scene so we can see what's going on. Other than that, it's an average horror film I thought. Better than alot out there. Some parts were a little too quirky for me though.
It's entertaining but as soon as the "scary" stuff happens the movie is basically a pitch black screen and can't see anything at all. Wayyyyy too much flickering lights and hard to even see anything I do not know why every horror movie thinks it's good to have flickering lights. You never get to see what's in the hole in the wall... One scene the guy looks down at it but instead of showing you what it is, just shows a pitch black scene. Plus 2 girls and not even a boob scene. Why add the played out nonsense flickering lights and dark scenes so bad you can't see what's going on but you leave out the *. Could've been a 7-8 but they kinda ruined it as soon as things start happening.
Acting was a bit amateur at times. The plot was ok, there were some chilling scenes - probably the best part about this film. I have watched horror films where the director couldn't even get the audience to feel any dread but there were a couple of times this film gave good scare effects but I turned off for the last 10 minutes, who knows if I missed the best part, it got so bad towards that point and the story was essentially over when I saw there was another 10 minutes left I just thought meh, director had to drag out the ending which was already a let down. The part that really really bothered me for some reason is the main character hanging up a mirror with a nail the size of a needle and then commanding it to stay! Only to turn around and the thing inevitably comes crashing down. It was a heavy expensive looking mirror and she knew it wasn't going to "stay" so that really annoyed me but the director had to annoy me further by making her then forget within 10 seconds that it had fallen and she walks all over the broken glass (not injuring herself in any way). I don't know why someone breaking an expensive looking mirror like that annoyed me. It added nothing to the film whatsoever, maybe breaking a mirror is bad luck? It's the one thing I took from this film and can't get it out of my head. If her friend had pointed out breaking a mirror was bad luck then it would have redeemed itself for me a little but her friend could barely act and might as well have been a brain dead zombie throughout the whole film instead of the sleep walking alcoholic she was portrayed as.
Watched this movie in Amazon Prime just to kill boredom on a holiday. But the movie made me realise boredom was much better. Such a worst story, poor characterization, ridiculous screenplay and terrible direction. Hope Amazon will avoid adding such trash movies to their library.
Worst movie I have watch in a long time. I do not recommend to anyone. Please don't weast your money and time. Worst movie I have watch in a long time. I do not recommend to anyone. Please don't weast your money and time.
Reading some of the reviews about this movie and it is NOT trash. Just low budget, I would say B- at best. If you like Indy's and horrors then this movie was just ok, a slow burn. Not a jump out and scare you type flick but I have seen worse so yeah. The 2 leads were good at times and then really fake acting other times. I would not recommend to anyone I know, and I myself will not be seeing it again. But it was not horrible, like someone said to see the new movie X, now that movie was just fing stupid. But, everyone has different tastes in movie so watch this one and maybe you will like it, who knows. I say check out Bloody Punch or All I Need, those are way better Indy flicks.
