First off I am an atheist, so I was anxiously awaiting this. I have actually been experiencing old friends and family coming to me asking what happened to make me lose my faith. Nothing I say over and over then launch in to explaining everything again. This movie was phenomenal and now I can say "hey you know what, go watch the ledge" I thought all the characters seemed believable, both in their lines and beliefs. The storytelling bounces around a bit which I love, it allows you to make assumptions and try to figure everything out before its revealed. I thoroughly enjoyed watching The Ledge, and I plan on buying it on DVD so I can lend it to people. I can only hope that this does alright and more atheist protagonists are created.

Could have been good, but was just terrible even though it had some awesome actors . I just kept watching wishing it would get better based on some reviews, but it just didn't. For the ending to go like it did, the characters and their backround or state of mind kind of needed much more depth to try to understand or empathize with them and their choices. But that just never happened. A bit of a waste of time, and i'm just being nice. Not spoiling since it basically starts with one of the Main characters just about to jump to his death and a cop trying to prevent that from happening. First Guy starts to tell his story. I was interested but it turnes out to be so bland. the characters stories were so incomplete that it ends in Such a sensless way. Almost like if the production didnt have enough time to do the entere film and just felt the y had to force an ending

Atheist hates Christians. Atheist lives next door to Christian couple. Atheist hates Christian neighbor. Atheist rattles off bad high-school debate talking points at Christian neighbor to attack Christianity and justify his atheism. Atheist thinks it's cool to seduce Christian neighbor's wife because Christians BAD. Atheist thinks it's REALLY cool to bang Christian neighbor's wife in his next-door apartment, where his gay HIV+ roommate can walk in on him. Christian neighbor finds out and goes Old Testament on atheist and/or wife. Atheist takes the STUPID way out in a final display of anti-Christian virtue signaling. There. I've just kept you from wasting a couple of hours of your precious lifespan watching this steaming log of fashionable atheist Christophobia. If only I'd paid more attention to the description in the cable blurb.

What really bothers me about "The Ledge" is that it is symptomatic of a major problem that the world has been creating for the last half century. We are in such a rush to dismantle the cultural institutions of marriage, sexuality, religion, and child rearing that we do not stop to consider why humans have spent thousands of years developing them. These institutions serve genetically programmed needs in humans. Perhaps these needs could be better met with improved institutions, but we seem to be so intent on destroying them that we have provided nothing to fill the gap created by their demise. These voids spell nothing but disaster.

This movie moved me. Wonderfully acted by Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler and Charlie Hunnam. I am grateful it is making the rounds on the movie channels again. In a Trump world, it is even more relevant. Please watch.

Almost couldn't get through this movie. A complete waste of the talented actors in it. Such painfully awkward and stilted dialogue. The writing seemed like a high school kid wrote it as a project. It was preachy and painfully religious. Weird sexual harassment scenes mixed with weird religious tirades. I'm shocked with the high ratings, not sure what the redeeming qualities people saw in this crap.

Not sure what's more shocking; how bad this film is or how so many usually reasonable actors allowed themselves to be cast in such a mediocre movie. Tedious tosh.

2 girls 1 cup has a better plot. This movie tries to pull you in "edgy" directions, then concluding with the most generic of endings. Even M. Night Shamalamadingdong would question the "twist" ending. I created this account just to gripe on this movie. Please spare yourself, go down to your local overpass and find a couple of bums around a dumpster fire. Then take the money you would have spent on this movie and throw it in the fire. Then watch the horror spread across their dirty hobo faces. Then be happy because that would have been you had you watched this movie. In all seriousness make sure you turn on subtitles so you can understand the mumble whispers escaping Liv's lips.

Nobody is likable and the main villain is made to be evil solely because he's a Christian. How's that any different from, say, Kevin Sorbo's character in GOD'S NOT DEAD? Can it be that the chosen, superior Godless übergeists can't recreate the spellbinding cinematography they'd used in Eisenstein's movies back in the 1920's?
