Stonehearst Asylum

The movie is a good movie but thought I should mention this for the people who has made the trailer for this movie. well, first you should put a spoiler alert at the beginning of the trailer because the whole movie is in this trailer. First of all the trailer shouldn't reveal who is the real villain here. I was watching the trailer and I felt sorry for watching it because after watching it I knew what's going on in the movie. This is not the first movie to use this concept, so it wasn't so hard for someone to figure it out after watching this trailer. I really wish if I didn't watch the trailer. :( so, that;s pretty much it and thought worth mentioning anyway...

Poe's work comes to the screen with a pretty slow start, but holds its own as crazy falls for crazy falls for crazy. Beckinsale is the psycho damsel that doesn't get the back story she deserves to make this flick work the way it could.

I found it to be an okay movie, fairly good plot line, it was new and unique in my opinion. The acting was well done and it had a good cast, But I was mainly confused about it's description of what kind of movie it is. I expected a Thriller, but when 45 minutes rolled by and there had been no "Thrill" or any kind of Thrill like situation happen, I paused to re-read it's descriptions. The plot line explains something that gives you a TOTAL different outlook on what the movie is about. Also I think this was rated wrongly, it seemed to be more of a Romantic Drama then any kind of Thriller. I guess it could be called suspense if your a little "slow", say sorry. But hence my 5 rating, wrongly explained, wrongly rated, but still fair enough in story line, acting etc. to get a 5 from me.

Stoneherst Asylum Edgar Allen Poe gothic romp, overall I enjoyed it for what it was, it was certainly watchable. At best this is a weak 6 outta 10 meaning okay watching for a trapped in pandemic lockdown.
