The story of zhang chi's pursuit of dreams and success, starring shen teng, moved me deeply, reminding me of my own way of pursuing dreams and causing me to think deeply.

A hearty film that you can instantly tell it is probably Han Han's pet project. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that and the motif in the film is plain and simple, keep pursuing what you love even if it means losing everything. Perhaps Zhang Chi is what he sees in himself. What is wrong with the film is what is not done. Pegasus feels like a lost opportunity because it is too short. It is able to construct interesting and lovable characters with a funny plot, but the length of it makes it feel insignificant and it feels like there are so many details that is worth exploring. This also disrupts the overall pacing of the film, what could have been a really great film feels rather insignificant in the end.

The story is interesting, the acting is decent, the directing is admirable for an amateur director like Han han. The only problem is that there seems to be way too much content for a 90-minute movie, and not all moments in it make sense.

I gave a seven star more so because it is based on a true story, that alone touched me. Otherwise, it would be 5-6 movie. Pegasus tried to send a simple message about chasing your dreams. It also celebrated the life of a professional racer. It was fast paced, with more jokes in the first half while tensing up for the second half. I somehow hope they did not work so "hard" to make it funny, in other words, a comedy. I feel were it a regular drama, which it had enough materials for, I would have liked it more. The acting is somewhat missing too. The big shot competitor pretty much had no emotions or expressions. I can't say the other characters were bland, but they did not strike me, which I kind of expect given the story line. Overall a good story that could have been told better....

Ok, I commit I laughed many times during the movies. However, I have higher expectation of Teng Shen! He is the Chaplin of China, he should be give me something more than this movie! In other hand, Han Han should improve his tale and directing. Generally speaking, I think it is overrated.

Of Han Han's three movies, the story tells the most smoothly. It would be better if we could cut out some of the interesting memories. Han Han is familiar with this field of his own, with his own experience as the blueprint, the whole film's feelings are more real.

I really like it. Campare to other Hang hang movie. This one's quite different. It can be a change point of his style, but in a good way. Also really like Teng Shen's performance!

Stumbles a bit at first, but every thing is part of the plan. 9/10

As a sport movie, the racing sequences in this Pegasus are ways worse than those in Ron Howard's Rush. But at the very least, this is more like a film, with convincing plot and editing, compared to Han Han's first two pieces. Han Han takes a scattershot approach on a very cliched subject. Surprisingly, he hits some of his targets and avoids the typical pitfalls. Shen Teng has the magic of turning every film into Shen Teng-esque, and here he does it again.
