A bizarre duel of minds develops between an alcoholic writer and an anonymous caller on a stormy night. Behind The Random Denominator is a slow-burning psychological horror story, which uses minimalist means to create an oppressive atmosphere of unawareness, drawing the viewer deeper into the maze of fear and mistakes with every new and unexpected twist.

I just saw this and I have to say, it took my breath away. You'll never guess the twist at the end. And there are some unexpected laughs and frights.
This is a slow and mesmerizing art film that has a very interesting point / twist at the end. Probably too static for many viewers, it still never lets you go and rewards you when you reach the finale. As it's basically a one actor film, and these tend not to be very interesting, I have to admit it was very captivating thanks to the original point and good script.
Of course, you have to accept the oddity of the whole thing. Perhaps it seems off because of the premise that is revealed in the twist that you will recognize from another movie almost immediately after it happens. But that doesn't matter. It is just weird enough to be foreign arthouse. I wonder if David Muir knows he is in this for a half second.
