Terrible acting, with subtle feminist references such as "Stop it with the man stuff, it makes me feel old". We get it don't worry. You are the modern woman, strong, independent with a luxury car, better than any man that crosses your way, the usual thing. Also, the horror is not present and the ending did not make sense at all. I really felt that the actress was not into the role, sometimes forcing herself too much which did not bring any realism to it. Maybe it is time to come back to the classics of horror, and a bit less in the appearances. It almost feels like the movie was made for a group of friends rather to the general public.
One of the worst movies I've seen in a while. There was no one in this turd that could act. No scares, no thrills, just a mess of a movie. The whole premise of the movie was laughable. I want to give a shout out to the most horribly miscast character of all, the sheriff. She exuded as much gravitas as a helium balloon. I can't understand all the high number of star ratings for this movie. I think the director had all his extended family come on the site and give reviews. And what's with the affiliation with the city of Jerome? It had no relevance to the movie. The ending was very disappointing and made no sense.
This film lauds itself as being based on the historic ghost town of Jerome, Arizona. But it's better fit to represent a dumpster fire. Because it is absolutely horrible. The writing is awful. The acting sucks. And the plot is beyond stupid. Out of the five writers listed in the credits, I'm not sure who is ultimately responsible for how bad this is. But I can't see them getting any future work out of it. The only upside to this, is that the leading actress is a total babe. Unfortunately, she doesn't have any talent. Although, neither does anyone else associated with it. Particularly the writers. I can't trash them enough. Because attempting to sit through this is inscruciating. By no means is it bad in a so-bad-it's-good kind of way, either. It's just really, really, bad. And I mean real bad. The only bit I liked about it at all...was when it ended. So it's safe to say I won't be indulging in any project that features anyone associated with this travesty ever again. Because it's quite possibly the worst film of the year. 1 out of 10.
