Maybe, the familiarity with the text by Guy de Maupassant is the main problem to apreciate this good intentions adaptation in different terms by what you expect. Nice acting, fair tension. But, obvious, not Le Horla. Only the story of stressed guy and his more than plausible paranoia. And this is the main problem, the accent being, more, in selfishness of young man and difficulties of adaptation. In short, a prety project, Le Horla becoming more pretext for it. Maybe, if the text is unknown, this film works just decent. So, good intentions, well acting, far by inspiratory short story. And this is all.
