Generational and cultural clashes abound in this entertaining film. In particular, I enjoyed the interaction between Sarah and Pitt in the Christian bookstore. And what was also nice was how not everything was happily rounded out at the end. Was Sarah to continue with her academic pursuits? How was the newly re-formatted bookstore going to turn out? The characters are at odds with each other, which made for both humour and sadness. And sometimes they find a meeting of the minds - but other times things just don't quite mesh - much like real life. One feels the exasperation of Sarah in her daily struggles with a variant of personalities. It's a tour of the various New York communities.
