Good movie, romantic... until the dumbest ending any movie could ever have!!! Just wasted almost 2 hours of my life I"ll never get back!
Retirement may not be for everybody but it should have been mandatory for these actors. The story was as stale as bus-station chili. You will suffer through while the elderly actors limp along with a plot-less and uninteresting story. Fonda and Redford are long-time neighbors that decide to jump in bed together, at first, just for the companionship then, later, for the "Bada- Boom" at a fancy hotel. Of course there is outrage from the children (or grandchildren) about the arrangement--causing the oldsters bust up their deal. As the story slowed to a painful ending, the senior citizens are supposedly left to ease off this "mortal coil"--alone and lonely in their own cob- webbed homes. A very tiring movie with people (and a story) that should have been retired 20 years ago.
