Money Plane is trash, but still better than some. The lead actor's awful and the film's full of cheese, but I had some fun with it. Though some of the laughing's at it, not with it. The premise isn't that bad really. The casting's baffling, why have this non actor lead, but then get Thomas Jane and Kelsey Grammar. A lot is expected of Jane's character without much consideration. Wonder what Denise Richards got paid for this role, no I really do.
I like Copeland fellow. But holy mother of god is this movie bad. Story premise is something that could be interesting, but the writing, the acting, the directing .. all of it is terrible. Color grading is decent, at least, so there is that.
In today's times I'll just about watch anything out of boredom. But, this is simply an insult to the viewers intelligence. The acting is terrible, the story line lame. I have seen home movies with better production, direction and story lines. YouTube is an better option. In fact, watching a turned off TV is more enjoyable than this rubbish.
This was by far the worst movie I have seen this summer. Who thought this was a good idea?
Back in the day, well-crafted movies like Alien/Aliens, Terminator 1 & 2, Scarface, Jaws, Back to the Future, Se7en, The Sixth Sense and many, many others -- They could stay with you for a long time after you watched them, some for years. They were THAT good. Today, movies don't even stay with you during their running time. You just want to flee the moment and press that Stop button, and the minute you turn them off you forget them as if you suffered from Alzheimers. They are THAT bad. Everything in Money Plane was cheap and unprofessional. Bad script, direction and execution. Cheap sound effects. Horrible editing, action scenes and fx. Bad acting and non-believable characters ("world's most dangerous criminals" - I laughed out loud when I saw them) ...and I could just go on.
I struggled to watch this movie for ten minutes, then i was out. its cliche. bad acting but not terrible.
..... it's a pretty bad movie! Poor production values and too much unnecessary gory violence.
Being a WWE fan...I try to watch the wrestlers outside of the ring and into movies as much as I can so when I saw EDGE as the main star, I knew this would be at least worth a watch plus it had some known names in Hollywood -- Denise Richards, Kelsey and Thomas Jane of course. the story was simple and the actors all played their part well....I also noticed Joey Lawrence was also in this movie, LOL all in all, worth a watch if you're a fan of action movies with a boring script. 7/10 for good action, simple storyline and of course, good acting.
