Heung-boo, a popular novelist, seeks his lost older brother through his writing but instead encounters Jo Hyuk, a nobleman known for his compassion. Jo Hyuk's kindness and wisdom profoundly influence Heung-boo. Meanwhile, Jo Hang-ri, Jo Hyuk's older brother and his complete opposite, relentlessly seeks power. Inspired by the Jo brothers, Heung-boo writes "Heungbu and Nolbu," a novel that quickly becomes a sensation, spreading across Joseon. Seizing upon the story's popularity, Jo Hang-ri, driven by ambition, plots to seize absolute power in Joseon.
