What to expect from movie where climax is -sorry- they dragged dragged the whole movie with unnecessary unrealistic spreading misinformation plot.
Taapsee Good luck for Thappad, looks very promising movie.
The most important film of the year Thappad is such movie that created against the society most hidden thing most of the women suffers from this situation but the don't have courage to speak this movie gives voice to all such women.
The trailer was so good and I had high expectations but despite some really good moments and dialogues, it felt really flat. The second half was incredibly boring. Tapsee says such a fantastic line where she expresses how that slap reminded her of all injustices. But it's never really shown what injustice? They never really dived deep into that thought. It seemed like a movie made by and for pseudo feminists. It could've been so good but completely fell apart.
The film is too much heavy handed. Okay women needs better representation but atleast show the other possibility. What about section 375 like films which was highly disliked by critics. Now this film is uncessasarily promoted by them despite being too simple and not exactly true.
The director of this movie walked out his wife without informing her the day Dus (one of his many dumb movies) became a success. Till then his wife was being supportive of him and his failures. He didn't even give a penny to her for their child's support. I hate saying this but facts need to be shared. And now he is making a movie mocking other men who are far more responsible and sensitive than him. The movie was absolute rubbish.
This is a great movie of women empowerment where the society's agendas of not breaking families even if It's a toxic one rather staying in an unhappy situation for life, is questioned and i understand why people hate this because It's change so its hard to accept.
