You know how Home Alone 1 and 2 are timeless classics...and every other Home Alone after them have been absolute abominations... Well that's exactly what we have here with 'Sumotherhood'. Kidulthood and Adulthood were brilliant, but every spin-off since has been pure garbage. Appearing to be written by school kids on a bus home from school...unfunny, OTT stereotypes, forced, pointless cameos, almost zero story...the whole thing is just WACK! I literally only laughed ONCE, during the Ed Sheeran scene...he was only on for about 45 seconds...and the fact that he was the best thing in the entire film, tells you all you need to know. These guys are living in the past and trying way too hard to keep this franchise alive. Get some professional writers, start a new project ..and move on!
best ever
In really loved the first film but this is a hard watch. The first film was a mix of funny and silly but it worked. There is a couple a funny parts of the film but mainly is a load of rubbish. Even the bits that with Tyrone is over done. He was hilarious in the first one but his character is just plain stupid. There is no real story to the film and it just gets more stupid. I wasn't such a fan of the first film I would have turned it off after the first ten minutes. There is one or two funny scenes like the bank robbery but they ruin it by over playing it. It's good to see Adam Deacon back on the screens as he has always been funny but this attempt it's just dry.
I don't know what all the fuss is about, actually liked it and thought it was quite funny. It's not to be taken seriously in any shape or form , after all it is a comedy, just enjoy the ride people. Well scripted, the jokes were funny, and some great cameos, which you knew from the trailers but good to see nevertheless. Really good to see Jazzie back in his element along with his other fellow youtube actors from back in the day together again. If Adam Deacon and co are up for making further comedies then would definitely give it the time of day. Respect to you Adam for persevering and getting this film made.
British made comedy drama. Two young wannabe gangsters, Riko and Kane, owe their landlord £15K, they have a time limit to pay back and decide to rob a megastar rapper backstage for his gold watch, gold chain etc, of course this goes disastrously wrong. Next, they plan to rob a local bank, but this also goes wrong and leads them to one of East London's most notorious gangs. Also includes the obligatory love interest Many slapstick capers and lots of cameos from British comedy and music stars (Ed Sheeran for instance) Made for a young audience, but I laughed several times. Well made British cinema is always worth a look.
