I was impressed by both Meghan and Harry's intelligence and charm and give this show an 8 (which would be my highest number for this kind of show). However, the main reason I'm writing this review is to question the provenance of all the vicious one's and two's given by other reviewers. Considering the content of the interviews which included some negative feelings expressed toward the Royal "business", I would bet that these sickening reviews were perpetrated by this institution! With a lot of money, I'd guess it would be easy to obtain reviewers willing to create this type of Insulting garbage!
This interview did not make sense. It contradicted known facts. I had already seen him pitch her voiceover services to a studio as they had still had their official U. K. roles. Many others had already seen this. No explanation was ever given for why the interviewer did not ask about the contradiction between this and the couple's answers during the interview. As a result, the objective of this interview appeared unclear at best, and actually overwhelmingly dubious. The interviewer has not ever addressed that. This did not seem well researched. As a result, it did not come across as journalism. The interviewer did not ever answer questions about any of that either.
Whatever your viewpoint on this after it had ended, this remains one of the most engaging and talked about programmes of 2021. Up there with Princess Diana's Panorama interview in terms of scandal.
This interview could've been so interesting and positive. Harry and Megan are likable and enduring, but when they started slinging insults toward the Royal family, it lost some thing. They don't seem to realize that when you start slamming people you are close to, it actually backfires on you. I live in the US and thought they were being unkind and immature. It was not a good interview. The whole racist accusation was unnecessary and I'm not even sure it was correct. Even if it was, one person who said something stupid?
That was really entertaining. I even forgot to watch The Walking Dead. It was sort of like watching a two hour train wreck. Storyline: Harry brings divorced black Los Angeles soap opera actress home to meet his ultra-conservative British royalty family. What could possibly go wrong?
As outsiders, we the general public only know what we read or see on tv about the royals. A lot was said about Diana and the struggles she endured which only really came to light much later. People have opinions about Meghan which may or may not be true, but the Diana comparisons and the need to escape a toxic environment for the sake of her and her families well being is something that can't be played down. She doesn't come across as the villain the press portray her as, though we will never know exactly what goes on behind the scenes, but as a couple and a family they did what they needed to do and look a lot happier for it, so good luck to them i say.
Sauce
Oprah Winfrey has sunk to new lows. She gave two ungrateful, spoiled brats a platform to trash the much loved and cherished British Royal Family. No fact checking was done. She let them spew lie after lie without challenge. Her occasional and very fake "WHAT?" every so often is what she thinks is journalism. These two woke jokes aren't even intelligent enough to know their own wedding date. I'm very disappointed in CBS for letting this trash on the air. Not to mention faking headlines "proving" racism. Too bad 0 stars isn't an option.
