Hypnotic

There was a lot of potential for this movie, which is ultimately what will leave a lot of viewers disappointed. It's by no means a bad film, its tightly paced, superbly acted and has an intriguing enough plot to engross you into the story, The problem is that all these elements were taken advantage of but never expanded on, as the film never progresses out of its own comfort zone into more ambitious territory. Without giving up too much of the plot, after an excellent opening that sets a great tone that is then somewhat letdown, the rest of the film unravels in a predictable fashion, with nothing you havent seen before taking the movie to the next level. Give it a watch if you like psychological thrillers or just need a popcorn movie to pass the time, but don't raise your expectations too high, clearly the scriptwriters never did.

Oh man i really thought this was going to be a great movie, but yet again another run of the mill movie from netflix. The acting was ok i suppose, but it was a really predictable movie all the way through, (SPOILER ALERT) the ending where she gets woke up by the cop, i said to my partner thats still meade before it happened thats how predictable it is, and the ending fight scene was just bad, like two kids play fighting in the playground. Not to sure what the 10/10 ratings are about maybe they got hypnotized into it. Im giving this a very generous 3/10 and thats because besides the poor direction and execution i did like the whole concept and the acting was ok.

Pros + Good acting from the detective Cons Hypnosis doesn't do any of the stuff this movie claims, so it's hard to find any of it scary rather than laughable.
