Pretty average since the stories don't have any ties with each other. I was expecting some overlap or a finale where all the characters meet in the end. Ends up being just the girl in the first story reading all the other 4 stories. After reading 3 stories that ended abruptly, the guy finally writes the 4th story with a happy ending. This is when I expected him to write the ending of the first 3 stories to give them a proper ending. It never happened. The monologue near the end felt forced too. Could have been told in pictures and forced narratives. Acting and cinematography was good alright. The use of Paradox's song "sam miti" (3 dimension) was excellently executed.

It is a funny movie. Cute movie! Lots of laughs You will leave theater with a big smile. Another good thai movie for 2022. Hopefully they have a part 2.
Needless to say that I hadn't actually heard about this 2022 Thai romantic comedy titled "Jaifu Story" (aka "Happy Ending"). But given my love of the Asian cinema, of course I opted to watch this movie without knowing anything about it. This was an anthology of romantic short stories, but I have to say that writer and director Prueksa Amaruji didn't exactly manage to churn out a movie that was all that appealing to me. The narrative was simply too mundane and slow paced. And it didn't really help that each segment wasn't really bringing any sparkling romance or much of anything worthwhile to the screen. The acting performances in "Jaifu Story" were fairly good. I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble, aside from actor Nat Kitcharit. For a romantic comedy, then "Jaifu Story" was a swing and a miss. And there are far more enjoyable and entertaining romantic comedies easily found in the Thai cinema. I wasn't particularly entertained with "Jaifu Story", though I managed to endure it to the end. However, this is neither a movie that I will recommend fans of the romantic comedy genre to waste their time on, nor is it a movie that I will ever return to watch a second time. My rating of "Jaifu Story" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.
