the movie was great but also crazy my favorite part was when they were singing the American Satan when they were all facing their own private demons

There really aren't any serious spoilers here but any time I mention even a single plot point I click the box to be safe. The whole point of the movie seemed to be very childlike moralizing with an immature judeo-christian bent. The acting wasn't as terrible as many here are stating, but the whole story was so ridiculously transparent and predictable that it was hard to take seriously. The devil is bad. Don't do drugs. Stay faithful. Don't compromise. Killing is a bad idea even if it will make you money. Good and bad boiled down to eye-roll-worthy simplicity. There is little maturity difference between this film and a saturday morning cartoon, with characters and situations that are equally two-dimensional. I doubt anyone over the age of 12 would think there was any message in here worth hearing, and anyone under the age of twelve probably shouldn't watch people shooting up and having sex in a bus with a teenager. They might have done better to drop the moralizing and just make a horror film out of it.

I have worked in the music industry for years and this is just rubbish. If you like a film with lousy music and an excuse for soft * then this is for you. Stupid plot about a shooting gone wrong plus "The Devil" turning up as a tramp - all idiotic.

Almost all of the cast were wasted in this movie. Malcolm McDowell must not like being retired because he relives his role from "Tank Girl" days. Bill Goldberg plays the road manager/bouncer the same way he acted when he was wrestling, so it wasn't a hard reach for him. It was nice to Denise Richards as a mother to the lead character. She finally learned to act, but it was wasted. Very boring movie & you can tell Miramax didn't make a lot of money so they added info on getting the soundtrack and the bands soundtrack.

I don't know where to start. Basically even if there was a deeper meaning to this movie, people will just get metal=satan from it. The movie mixes the rock'n'roll life as we knew it (nowadays everyone is healthy and sober, when they behave badly they have to apologize right away on social medias) with lots of different ideas, some of them not so bad, like accepting who you are and fighting back the bullies, but it's all messy. They could have done something like 'Almost Famous' meets 'The Devil's Advocate' and it could have been interesting. With this movie we only end up frustrated that there wasn't really a point to it...

I thought this was a horror movie, but it definitely was not. It leaned more on the thriller film side. The soundtrack was actually decent, the acting and actors were great, the story was weak, rough, and tried to go too many places. Take out all the brutal shots and this could have been a lifetime movie. Also, I had no idea who Andy Biersack was, but he was the only reason I kept watching.

I hoped this would be the type of movie metal fans were waiting for. The ultimate rock fan's dream or dilemma with a blazing soundtrack to go along with it. While the music was what I expected, it still couldn't save the embarrassingly bad screenplay. It was painful to watch at times. I almost feel bad for the actors having to say some of these cheesy lines and pretend to mean it. Hopefully it doesn't discourage more people from making movies like this. But it definitely doesn't encourage it either.

Love movies like this! Reminded me a bit of Queen if the damned. Great music! Think Andy Biersack did a great job considering! Not sure what the deal with all the negative ratings and reviews is but if you are a fan of Metal, Rock then you will love this movie!
