It should've been a documentary about Mike Perry, who has a much more interesting life. Or Frankie Edgar. Here we take a regular guy with a regular family just like the rest of us. Yet we're going to make an almost 2 hour documentary about him getting ready to fight an MMA, UFC, professional, Mike Perry. It's over an hour in the beginning of the long drawn out interviews of him going to doctors talking to his wife or coaches etc.. This would be interesting if this was a highly famous person or somebody worthy in the sports world with credits to their name. But again not everybody deserves a participation trophy. The ending is super anti-climatic. This documentary needs better editors. Do we really want to sit through five minute long interviews with the guys doctor or him making breakfast with his family at home?

A Real Life Underdog Story is that random documentary about life and trying to balance gravity. Nicholas Zarrillo had me dialed in the other early morning along with Platinum Mike Perry! Those films that unexpectedly pull you in and leave you needing to reach out to the person afterwards are rare. Nicholas delivers a brutally honest vision of his life and setbacks. The Film also gives a look at the kind of guy Mike Perry is. "A WARRIOR" that doesn't sugar coat nothing! Nicholas also learns that he's facing multiple battles that left me saying don't ever think you didn't do enough! Nicholas Zarrillo shows how not to never ever give up! A Real Life Underdog Story is a must see and I guarantee you will be yelling Zarrillo Zarrillo Zarrillo.
