This is the greatest movie of all time, bar none. Steins;Gate is my favourite game of all time, and this movie, as well as the bonus episode released at about the same time, are amazing companions to the main story. I'm normal a very cold-hearted person, and rarely get emotional in any way, but when I finished this movie, I was reduced to tears. It nearly made me cry as much as the main game, and that's saying a lot. The way the series dissects time travel and deja-vu while incorporating the most heart-wrenching love story of all time is absolutely breath-taking. If you hating crying and growing uncomfortably close to drawings of japanese people talking, then steer very, very far from Steins;Gate and its movie.

It's really a big disappointment, really really sad the rating don't do it justice it's our role now to showcase and appreciate a god like this.. With my experience in 90+ anime, 100+ novels and comics, 67+ shows I couldn't compare it with any it has it's own reign...I couldn't explain this show just in simple Words..such a brief time travel explaination with soo good love story I have ever seen. Believe it or not if you haven't watch it or just depend on the ratings you have missed a too important part of your life. I am indeed telling the truth companies are totally buyed I'm too disappointment by this rating.. Overall without a doubt greatest show ever made in history.. It's gives a different type of hope one can imagine. I would just say "THANK YOU GOD"

To preface this, let me say that I liked the main series a lot, but I didn't really understand why everyone loved it so much. It just seemed like a really good anime, but nothing GOAT material. Now, this movie is not better than the main series. Not by a long shot. It's so much more... anime? If you know what I mean? There are just a lot more anime tropes and stuff that make it feel more like a traditional anime than the original did. There are so many more macguffins and plot holes, more moe stuff, more happy endings. Also, all the time travel stuff doesn't make nearly as much sense as the main series and I don't even think that it could even work in the context of the rules that the main series set up. However, after saying all this, I still liked this movie more than the main series. I think the main series is done better, but that is different from how much you enjoy something. For example, I know on an objective level that Schindler's list is a really good movie, but after watching it I would probably give it a 5 out of 10. It is DEFINITELY worth watching this movie if you liked the main series! It expands a lot on the relationship between okabe and kurisu, and especially on kurisu as a character. All the things that I wanted to happen (like kurisu and okabe being together, her realizing he actually traveled through time so he has someone to talk about it with, etc.) happened in this movie! I also really enjoyed kurisu as the main character. The visuals and music are basically the same as the main series, and it also has a good ending, or at least a happy one. In my opinion, this takes the originality and intrigue of the original series and combines it with the anime traits that we all enjoy, and it does this to great affect.

Too good time travel implementation. Best time travel show ever and incredible ideas and character developments.

Although it is no match to the 2011 series and steps back a bit, this wonderful movie is absolutely worth watching. It again raises the questions that come with time travel, but it all had to be packed in shorter time than the series, and therefor lacks the depth and details the series had. But after watching the series it is a very nice, and sweet, follow up

I'm not all too familiar with the steins;gate universe just yet, however there are a few things that I can definitely point out. The story line, artwork and music all blended well and I think the production of this franchise was a job well done. Admittedly, I'm the type of person who has one too many interest but, Time travel related stories has never been far away from my top list. It's a pretty complex genre to write and let alone execute due to the constant movements of time. If I could think about explanations that would be near to the concept, I must say that I've fallen in-love with steins;gate's logical views regarding time travel more than I have from the girl who leaped through time. I think the cellphone and microwave won me over than running fast enough to fall into ditches or through a wall. I love how the characters were build up and the focus on each of their choices that triggers the effects and movements of the story. I think that because these were carefully executed it had made steins;gate in all aspects from one of the reviews from kotaku.com.

I loved the anime to Steins Gate, It's one of my all time favorite's and has touched me in so many ways. I loved it's storyline, characters, humor, drama, voice acting/writing and overall presentation. This film takes place after the series and it's a great way to end it all. The story in this film is emotional and has everything you expect from the series, the music/animation is great, the characters are wonderful and it's a must see for those that loved the anime like I did. It's not as good as the anime but I loved it from start to end. If you have seen the series you owe it to yourself to see this.
