My first kdrama. A lot of scenes were unneeded and some of the things were totally eliminated from the story like they never existed. Se-Jin's stupidity and childishness to the side cast's patheticness, it was very bad and wrong. The whole movie goes on about Se-Jin wanting to abort the baby and gets lives of people ruined doing so (got the girl killed, and their group disbanded with a very bad note, left her sister on her own and didn't even try to be a family person) just for her sake to get the baby aborted so much happened, and at the end, she didn't get the baby aborted. Goes to show how stupid the girl was, everything revolved around her selfish wants, had she been a tad bit sensible, the movie would end within minutes. Totally not the worth, unless you like meat riding kdrama or you are an edgy teenager who just watches movie for gore and declares it a masterpiece. This doesn't show the reality at all, and people claiming it is a masterpiece clearly have no idea about the functioning of the world and are no brainer. Very disappointed, wouldn't recommend.
The characters and storyline are amazing, it is kind of heartbreaking and discusses sensitive topics but it does it in such a genuine and emotional way?? Really amazing, totally recommend.
I did enjoy the movie to some degree as it showed the reality of some peoples lives. I think if you are looking for something that will change your view on society this will be a good film for you. The movie can be relatable for some and i think the producer composed it rather well, keeping in mind what topics it included. The cinematography was fantastic and the acting was also great, they chose the right actors to play these roles. My problem with the movie is that it was rather graphic and i know it shows the reality of it all but i think the trailers and also the description of the movie (on multiple different platforms) do not give the impression that it will be like this. There were also points in the movie that were completely unneeded. An example of this is when the bully that she was secretly seeing got crushed by a crate. If you are someone who likes a dark movie then this is a good film for you but if you do not really like darker films then i recommend you watch something else.
This movie crosses all the topics most millennials are dealing with, and even adults. This was only rated a 7.5 on Viki, and I can understand due to the nature of the film being very taboo in Korea. However, I loved it.
Very depressing, very true. World is a scary place, but this film shows us reality of many people through cinematic lens. Cinematography and lighting were amazing, cast was top notch, more people should see it!
I rarely find a film I can get so caught up in anymore, I'm usually stuck knit-picking at the smallest of issues like lighting or sound but literally everything was perfection. I could literally write an entire book on why this film was a masterpiece and how much thought the director had put into each detail and scene. From the connection to the things teenagers like to the biggest of problems they can face. The entire film was about pushing the boundaries of korean morals and how young adults who have gone through trauma can react to certain situations. You literally need to watch it at least four times putting yourself into each of the four main characters shoes and even then you'd have to watch it a fifth time to connect all of the pieces! It's so brilliantly put together and the ending was amazing. Usually films aim for a big ending, a happily ever after or a cliff hanger but that ending really brought the idea that it was meant to represent life and how sometimes you don't get a happy ending.
I really like the movie and i see why it has less rating just because it has taboo things and tell reality that no one wanna hear. It tells the real life of those teens. As a teen with depression i really liked as i was searching for something like this. It is the reality of our generation that one one see. I recommend any young adults, teen or if you are going to have kid see this. It tells a lot about our teens life. Nowadays there is love but its all about money and fuvking. Boys just want someone to fuvk ( not all) it might be critical for some people like those religion and preacher people but it what we feel. We don't have good feelings for good, we swear and we do all these things cuz we have no other option.this society had made us crazy and this has the reality. Loved it the only reason i didn't gave 10/10 cuz i felt rather than pregnancy something much better maybe. Just opinion.
I kinda get why this didn't get that much attention in Korea as this topic is pretty taboo and I preach the writer for the genre and storyline they choose. The cast may not be those actors and actresses you see everywhere in a drama but I'm really impressed by their portrayal especially the main character. The emotions and characterization every actor in this film showed is one of a kind, this may come off as a comedy film at the trailer but this story is much more than that, the realism of every situation is kinda scary because you know this really happens in real life. The story speaks a lot for the teens and young adults who struggles and it portrayed it very well. Young adult matters.
