source: The Least of These: The Graham Staines Story
Two times I watched this movie with my family. A superb making! The movie is all about God's love and forgiveness. The Stanes family is its true reflection. I appreciate the people behind this great project. May God promptly reward all of them. Blessings!
A must watch movie based on true events... Very moving and thought provoking.
The Least of These is an inspiring true story that highlights the impact one person can have and the ability for love to overcome hatred. The music and cinematography are absolutely stunning. More importantly, this film is eye-opening in showing power of the Gospel lived out in the lives of Graham and Gladys Staines. I highly recommend seeing this movie.
There are so many to choose from: the writer, the director, the editor, the actors (especially Stephen Baldwin -- with an "Australian" accent!), whomever greenlit and funded this film, which is amateurish with a capital "A"? I can almost that if you have a school age child, he or she could pull together a better looking, more coherent production. Maybe the least is the audience for this movie -- does this sound good to you: a reporter goes undercover in a leper colony, to find out if a missionary is converting its Indian residents (aka "the least") by force. He isn't; and nothing else happens. The End. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with Graham Staines, but surely he deserves a better tribute.
His is such a beautiful story. As a Muslim this movie reminded me how people can think bad things about you because of religion but it's not about who we warship but what we do with the teachings from each of our respective books
An amazing movie made with much sensitivity and poise. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie depicting the work done by Graham and Gladys Staines. It is amazing to watch how the sheer determination of an individual to touch lives and make a difference - what an impact it had.
More than just a movie, it speaks into the life of people. Such inspiring movie, which fastens your heart, mind and soul. A must watch family movie. Would watch it yet another thousand times ! Amazing script work. Every statement and a phrase holds a story. Inspired !
Missionary like Graham Stains loved the people who were alienated from society and he took care of them without expecting anything. He was a hope for them unfortunately he was misunderstood .In this era where we talk about revenge in all wrong doing Mrs.Glaydis's forgives the convicted which is beyond understanding for many . chose to forgive them as Christ forgave his accusers. This real story touched my heart and motivated me to serve Him and His people in India or anywhere in the world.Sharman Joshi done a wonderful Job in movie and appreciate his work.
I was very touched by the end of this beautiful film (deserves 10 stars), but the atmosphere was totally ruined by a filmed discussion that immediately followed it (even before the credits in the theatrical version I saw). Ravi Zacharias and Shari Rigby are wonderful, but this "message to pastors and Christian leaders" was jarring and the placement was very much in poor taste. My heart goes out to the filmmakers for this tarnishing of their work.
