The reviewer that described this movie as "no point, bad acting..." is a moron and probably thinks the Real Housewives of Atlanta is fascinating. I was more than pleasantly surprised by this movie... The premise is haunting and beautiful and horrific and scary as hell. Anyone that enjoys post apocalyptic stories will enjoy this. Anyone that likes aliens in their sci-fi will enjoy this. Think an adult hunger games with a winner's trip to eternity. Sure no laser guns Star Wars fans...just arrows and sticks and rocks!!! Next. The acting is phenomenal for a bunch of unknowns. Kudos to the director. Usually a b movie has c acting. This has a acting. Hope that makes sense. Next. The effects(very light touch) are soooooo perfect(I'd describe them, but it would be a spoiler) Next. Filmed in one of the most beautiful places on earth...I googled it because I want to go there. Enjoy this.

Overall appreciation: I think this is the first ever SciFi movie created in Portugal, and that, by itself is a good enough reason to go watch it. The producers were not afraid to take on a project that was, by definition, very hard to accomplish considering the limitations. This is not the best film ever, but I definitely don't regret seeing it either. The fact that the producers and cast had the balls to do this, is reason enough to go watch it, so you should take the negative reviews here with a grain of salt and go check it live yourself . The good: Photography and editing are well done. The scenery is beautiful. The story is interesting and wraps an eco message in what at first doesn't seem to be a movie about that subject. The futuristic sets are very well conceived for what I've heard was an extremely low budget The average: The plot is interesting but could have been explored in more depth. Acting is just ok in some cases. Some visual effects are interesting, while others could have been taken to the next level. The bad: The sound tack is off. In many cases it's too much for the scene, and in other scenes where it should boost emotions it is not.

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. I am Portuguese and I was excited that this was a Portuguese movie made. But.. oh my God, I really can't even express my disappointment.. poorly made, the story makes no sense, there's zero character development, almost zero explanation for what the hell was going on.. and the acting.. cringing.. there's so many talented Portuguese actors (I mean.. Diogo Morgado is one of them), and this was just very disappointing. Still kinda proud that Diogo directed a movie though :). Aaaand the beautiful Azores! Stunning photography! My 2 stars are for these 2 reasons.

For the first time I really enjoyed watching a Portuguese movie. The script has a great twist and the video quality is very good. The scenic Açores Islands were an awesome choice to shoot this great story. It doesn't look like a national porduction. I went home thinking about the movie message and that made my ticket worth it. I highly recommend!

Great photography, great environmental message, awesome cast at a very high standard specially considering they are non-native english speackers, great music and unusual theme and images for a Portuguese movie. As a Portuguese, I'm proud of this production.The movie is not perfect, but reveals uncommon high quality for a low budget national porduction. Money well spent! Well done!!!

The captions were pretty good chosen to the movie. It should be noted the actors professionalism and congrats for the courage to take such a delicate subject
