Okay, I read someone describe it as a Canadian "Big Chill." Well, sure if you define that as a bunch of folks getting together for a reunion. But this one just depressed the heck out of me. Six people get together 25 years after graduating from college. They[re staying at one couples place somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. That was the bright spot of the movie. Just beautiful views. However, after they all get drunk and high, secrets start being revealed. They each have something they've been hiding for years. But the worst is one of the women is dying of an inoperable brain tumor. And that's literally the last third of the movie. Not a lot of happy moments in this one. The acting was pretty good. But the storyline, oh so sad. I kind of wish I never saw this one. --MovieJunkieMark.
This film is important for the Film/ Tv Hub that is Vancouver, Canada. It is a great piece of art written by a talented director / screenwriter (and actor) and it has some VERY emotionally gripping moments with some great acting all throughout... I hope this film shows the world and mainly the United States that more great projects can AND WILL be made in Vancouver. A perfect directorial Debut for Laura Adkin! And I can't not meantion all the actors absolutlely killed it in their respective roles! I especially loved all the heartfelt friendship moments, it was all so real and captured what realistically would happen given the scenerio, (avoiding spoilers) Absolutely superb! As a fellow Vancouverite I am so proud! Keep it coming people! We all have a a lot of work to do...
I am an avid movie goer, can't say i am a cinephile exactly (coz can't make time) but close. I came online to check reviews, turns out no reviews at all. I went in just reading the synopsis and as I am almost 25, it got me interested. This movie like i said in the title, need more views and reviews coming from a guy who is lazy enough to write a review but had to for this one. Movie opens up with fun, gets you engaged, good plot and leaves you thinking and feeling for it. It's not Tarantino or Scorsese but it's a breath of fresh air, a nice little walk out in the spring when sun starts to come out of winter.
