It's the jokes we've always heard. Kevin is the most ignored, Joe has dated everyone and Nick, well "broke up the band". However, the banter between the brothers, their wives and Kenan was fun. Loved the song by John Legend too. Unfortunately, there came Lilly Singh with her oh look I only gay woman of color in white male dominated industry and made the jokes about herself rather than the brothers themselves.
Terrible, like a kids roast. Not funny or like traditional celebrity roasts that are crazy and no taboo subjects. Obviously all pre checked by the brothers before shooting.
Lilly Singh uses every single joke she has ever made before ever because she is not creative. She isn't white. She isn't straight but it's just because of the Jonas brothers. Other than those few minutes of torture this roast isn't that great. It's fine if you're a no bro fan.. but it's kind of lame.
Pete Davidson and Sophie Turner were funny, but most of the other guests were average... and there were way too many jokes about small/big Jonas dicks (so weird/awkward).
I'm just glad I have had many laughs when watching roasts on Comedy Central. I have no clue what Netflix tried with this feeble attempt at being funny. No funny or clever jokes, no hurtful remarks, nothing that should be part of a roast. This was all just hugging, kisses and laughing politely at each other. Maybe the end was funny, I don't know. Turned it off after Jack Whitehall when they did another lame piece with a trainer. This was just sad and a waste of time.
Jonas who? O.... ok, so, Sansa husband and that slightly seasoned lady from that Quantico show husband and some very silent hairdresser lady husband, also. Kenan Thompson was the only funny thing in all this undercook roast. In short, not my the best 70 minutes ever spent.
I enjoyed it. My boyfriend? Not so much, cause he was trying to sleep and i kept laughing next to him with my headphones on. The only thing I didn't like was the scripted parts in the beginning and ending and Dr Phil. He is unfunny as hell.
American comedy shows feel the need to make a sketch out of everything so there are many cringey moments, and some guests who add nothing to the roast formula, but the roasts are good, especially Joe's.
This was so boring. Everyone was clearly tiptoeing around Nick Jonas' fragile ego per usual. Kevin's wife Danielle looked horrified/irritated the entire time and didn't even read her own portion of the dialogue. I was expecting a pot roast and instead got a half baked microwave pizza.
