An excellent little documentary that starts about a group of social club musicians who make music cos there's nothing else to do. There's no aspirations of world domination of even being a rock star, it's simply to kill the borrdom and to have something else to do instead of drinking yourself to death in a small town, or to do while you drink yourself to death, it's never quite that clear. It soon becomes a story of 30 years of life rather than about the band and like the band it gets better and better as it goes on. There's a lot of insight to be had into life, art and friendship, and just getting from one day to the next, and it was done on a shoe string budget of course. All the best movies are. I'm looking forward to Ms Gordons next offering, and to the 50th anniversary gig of Into The Void. Long live life in the void.
