Neelam Productions has always delivered tremendous as well as magnanimous products to promulgate the cause and course of every corner of the society in concern with their highly remarkable quoting of Dalit politics. We saw it in their penultimate one, Pariyerum Perumal. Here, Gundu is also following the same path but in a deviated way. Gundu travels through obviously on the Dalit concept but, apart from that, it urges about the consequences of War. Yes, it can add into an anti-war product rather than a caste based one. Two World Wars and their aftermaths are talked and discussed early through many films from all over the world but here in Gundu, the director * writer Athiyan points about the importance of peace and tranquility in our daily lives. Of course, Gundu is just a symbol for him to announce his views and ideas regarding his ideologies behind the anti-war campaign. In that way, Athiyan succeeded his journey with his debut one. A strong film to watch. #Gundu.

The Director should have made a documentary if the objective was to explore the politics behind de-neutralized bombs. There is nothing worth of a drama here. Even the songs the workers enjoy late night after dinner have communist message bashing Government and capitalism. I have no idea, where communist world have provided jobs in the real world other than setting up Trade Unions for Vote banks. And, there was a single dimensional character of a social activist / journalist whom the whole bureaucrats are after (even 1980s audience would snooze off at this). All characters are either outright evil (or) outright noble which makes the plot highly predictable and unable to relate to reality. The only thing the film got it right is the last scene showing another bomb offshoring the sea implying nothing has changed. Exactly, that is what will happen in a Communist world. Nothing changes. Watch it only if you like preachy propaganda movies!!

An unexploded bomb from second world war washes ashore near the coast of Mahabalipuram, a town in Tamil Nadu. if couple of facts were conveyed as it happened, movie will be more interested. The movie deals raw, recipe that blends elements of a thriller, road movie, love story, message movie on class struggle garnished with a generous helping of humour. Such wonderful movie to all the peoples to watch in the theatre.

Really a good movie. A very unique story line. The lead role has acted very well. The movie has a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Glued into the movie until the end. The story has also imbibed with good amount of humor

The story tells many true incidents like bribery,love,angry,emotion,world war weapons,tamil culture and the last climax scene extraordinary,the japan man talk about Hiroshima and nagasaki it's too emotional,spread peace.
