This intense song about love, “Ishq Ki Mitti” – composed by Siddharth Kasyap with lyrics by Ibrahim Ashq – speaks about the passionate communication of that very emotion. Love becomes the catch phrase here for a lover’s true existence, about his earth, and becoming a disciple of this sentiment. Love becomes a message for strength, for power, for energy, and for vigour and, when combined as a single force, love can destroy any might that may oppose it. Tactfully styled in the mode of Sufiyana which, in literal terms, means mysticism and asceticism, this Siddharth Kasyap composition is appropriately magical with musical support provided by Ravi Chari on sitar and Akashdeep Gogoi on bass, with vocals provided by Bikaner-born playback singer Raja Hasan, a finalist on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 reality programme. "Ishq Ki Mitti", with an almost East Asian sound, gets elevated to a higher musical level due to the instruments’ interplay with Hassan’s vocal prowess, thanks to the outstanding skills of music originator Siddharth Kasyap.
