Even if you are bored and this is the only thing you can watch... talking to yourself would be more enlightening and entertaining. Do not watch, please, just do not bother. Seriously.
Only half of the movie is conventional horror, Not only that, the fact that these scenes focus on the friend instead of the possessed individual of the film's title, who disappears with no resolution about her possessed state, shows a weird lack of interest in the main character, rendering a lot of it pointless.
I don't know what I just watched but it wasn't a horror movie. I don't know if it's some sort of religious movie in disguise but do yourself a favor and don't watch this.
There is no sense to this movie. It's a waste of 90 mins. I could not understand the meaning of the ending. The movie also cuts off the past and into the future without any warning.
DVD lacked subtitles or menu for the elderly, disabled, hearing impaired, and ESL viewers. Disrespectful & cheap on the part of the producers especially when audio & enunciation is poor. A bit sardonic take on demonic possession of sisters in a convent. The usual exorcisms. Storyline very disjointed; hard to follow; poor conclusion to events. Lots of stereotyping (e.g. Demonic voice) although no contorted levitating. Some sisters have make-up - odd.
At first I felt like they forgot to add an ending to the movie, as if they literally forgot to copy/paste the ending to the film itself, but I think it was intended to be open for interpretation. It had a nice little build-up, the story was decent, intriguing at times, but I feel that it left too many questions unanswered. This can be annoying for some, which is rather frustrating considering the potential this movie had. I don't mind having watched this film, but due to the way it reached its ending, I couldn't give it more than a 5.5-ish. Characters had so much more to give, acting was ok. I would watch a second part or a continuation of this if it happened, just to see the character development reach a decent level. Otherwise, cinematics - ok, no A24 level, the choice of sound also pretty good. Other than that, the Agnes/Mary story had so much more, sad to see not reaching its full potential. Good effort though.
Also because the movie's synopsis sounded interesting. Sure, I hadn't even heard about this movie from writers Mickey Reece and John Selvidge prior to sitting down to watch it, so I had no idea what I was in for.
