O Anjo Negro [Portuguese]

Hercules, landowner and soccer judge, lives with his wife Julia, two nephews (Carlinhos and Irene), his father-in-law, and two maids in a colonial house in Salvador. He is going through a professional and marital crisis when Calunga, a black emissary connected to Eshu, mysteriously appears. Calunga, with his Dionysian strength, fascinates everyone and frees them from their preconceptions. He engages with the women of the house, getting Julia pregnant, and shatters the foundations of the patriarchal family, exposing their false virtues.
