Typically speaking, spinning back kicks are not thrown in the clinch range. But this supremely talented Chinese fighter, Qiu Jian Liang, clearly had it planned. Muay Thai fighters tend to have a habit of leaning back against the spinning kick, which can result in a KO when they do it at the wrong range. The Chinese fighter sets it up with inside clinch control, only to release it while simultaneously spinning. The kick would not have landed if the Thai didn’t lean back. Luck or fight IQ? Let me know your thoughts! 2. Epic scissor knee setup! Just too talented. Qiu Jianliang is his name and he’s been the number 1 ranked featherweight in the world for some time now, but not many people in the west know him. He’s been taking out some of the best names in Muay Thai and kickboxing for many years now. This is an epic knee setup by the feeder uppercut, bringing the head down and then grabbing it to lever into the scissor knee. Discuss with me below!
