STITCHES OUT… BUT I HIT A BRICK WALL. In this episode of my recovery journey, I head back to the hospital to finally have my stitches removed — a huge milestone in the healing process. I also meet with the physiotherapist and start some new exercises to help improve my strength, mobility and recovery. But then, a few days later, I hit a serious mental block. My motivation disappears. My mood drops. I stop doing my exercises, start eating badly and lose focus on my recovery. Sometimes recovery isn't just physical — the mental battle can be just as difficult. Eventually, I manage to snap out of it and realise I need to take control again. I get back to my exercises, cut out the bad habits, improve my eating and start focusing on my recovery, my future and the progress still ahead of me. This episode is a reminder that setbacks happen.
