Here is a unique video for you all. I've been doing judo for many years now, however there isn't much footage of me competing. I never had a camera when I was younger and rarely bothered to collect footage from those that did. However, here is a short clip of me competing at one the BJC North London Competition in the 1990's. I was probably around 35 at the time. My style has always been relatively unorthodox when compared to the scrappy, powerhouse judo you often see. I have always stood upright, using plenty of subtle changes in my kumi kata to block my opponent. You can't see these changes on camera, but they are there.
