The main event featured Team WCW vs Team nWo vs Team Piper in a unique elimination match. 12 men competed in the main event showdown with each team having thier own incentives for winning the contest. Representing WCW was The Giant, The Steiner Brothers and Lex Luger, Team Piper consisted of Roddy Piper, Jeff Jarrett, Steve McMichael and Chris Benoit, Team New World Order featured Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Randy Savage and Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Elsewhere on the card, Dean Malenko battled Eddie Guerrero for the US Championship, Rey Mysterio got another shot at Prince Iaukea's TV title, Buff Bagwell took on Scotty Riggs in a strap match, and Mortis made his in-ring debut in a match against Glacier.
