In this video, I explain who Abraham Lincoln was, why he became president during a difficult time in American history, and how his leadership during the Civil War led to the Emancipation Proclamation and the eventual end of slavery. Students learn about his character, his beliefs, and why he is remembered as one of the most important presidents in U.S. history.
