I am glad this was just a little less than an hour long... it was too long as it is... it felt like a badly done intermezzo film they used on the TV in Europe between the shows in the 70's. Bad camera work, bad screenplay, bad acting, bad editing... and some decent music!
What a fantastic film. This is a story that creeps up on you...just when you think it's about one thing it takes on a whole new meaning. The characters are both simple and complex and full of surprises. There are so many little nuances in this film that I found myself lost in its beauty. The acting and directing and photography are superb, and the music will leave you in shock and awe. Most of all, it's a story to which we can all relate, and in a world filled with electronic keyboards, it leaves one longing for a simpler life when grand pianos ruled the world. "Mazurkas" can be best described in one word: Bravo!!!
