In League of Legends, runes are a set of customizable and unique elements that allow you to tailor your champion's stats and abilities to suit your very own play style. You can select a Rune Page during the champion selection and once the game starts, the Rune Page will be locked in and will stick with you for the remainder of the match. Runes are mostly passive enhancements that add new effects or buffs to a player's champion.
