One judge favored Cruz 115-111, while the other two scored it even at 113-113. It marked Roach’s second straight majority draw of 2025, extending a run of controversial scorecards. Earlier in March, the former WBA super featherweight champion battled Gervonta “Tank” Davis to another disputed 12-round draw in New York—a fight still remembered for the infamous moment when Davis took a knee without it being ruled a knockdown, a decision that sparked widespread outrage across the boxing world. “All I’m asking for is a fair shot,” Roach said afterward. “I felt like I edged it.
