13-year-old Moscow schoolboy Artyom discovers a mysterious box of matches in his school locker, which, as it turns out, can grant any wish. The inventor Artyom does not miss the chance to become a real wizard and gives free rein to his unbridled fantasy. A match breaks, and an elephant walks along the Moscow boulevard. Another breaks, and the whole street, against its will, dances a crazy dance. Later, Tyoma meets the mysterious Magical Girl, who gave him the box. Together they soar in the star-studded sky, go down to the seabed without scuba gear, travel through the worlds of fantasy and memories... Truly endless possibilities of matches open up to Tyoma.
