Buckley, who was 0-1 in the UFC before his stunning knockout of Impa Kasanganay, sent the mixed martial arts world wild with a finish that the organisation’s official account labelled: “The most unbelievable KO in UFC history.” In the second round of his middleweight bout inside the Flash Forum in Abu Dhabi, Buckley threw a left high kick that was caught by Kasanganay. Would Buckley look to free his left leg? No. Instead he twisted his body, and landed a thunderous back kick with his right that caught Kasanganay on the chin. “One of the most spectacular knockouts we have ever seen,” exclaimed Dan Hardy in commentary. Paul Felder added: “That might be one of the craziest knockouts I’ve ever seen in my life.” To which Hardy replied: “That is real-life ninja stuff.” The lights were out before Kasanganay hit the canvas, with the walk-off KO leaving those watching in shock.
