Two 4 One is a movie about love. Perhaps it is about the complicated nature of love, the kind that is like love at first sight. The kind of love that exists no matter what happens. This movie is surprising, and ironic. I would not call it funny nor comical even though that is probably the intention of the film. It is a serious movie about a trans-gendered woman turned into a man and how the individual gets pregnant by accident. This unusual set of circumstances reels the two lovers together in a romantic way. The love relationship is sealed by the uniting of children. I do not think this love story is different than any other love story because the ingredients of love and conflict and uniting are the same in all love relationships. The lead character who comes across as an average man, does surprise the audience by being previously a woman, and still transitioning. This transitioning is not fully explored, rather it is brief. Melanie to Adam. There could have been a bit more psychological depth to the story - but at the same time maybe this movie was supposed to be more upbeat versus movies like Boys Don't Cry where the conflict to exist is just too great to survive.
