Muay Thai/Kard Chuek highlights of Saiyok Pumpanmuang (ไทรโยค พุ่มพันธ์ม่วง), formerly Saiyoknoi Sakchainarong. Saiyok is one of the most well-known muay Thai fighters in the world, and is renowned for his aggressive style. Formerly fighting under the name of Saiyoknoi Sakchainarong, Saiyok was a promising young fighter from Phitsanulok, northern Thailand. He was a Rajadamnern stadium champion and became a dominant figure in the heavier weight classes. However, in a fight against Singmanee Sor Srisompong, Saiyok was accused of fight-fixing and was stripped of his title. He was no longer allowed to fight in the big Thai stadiums and returned home to become a fruit merchant. Saiyok’s fighting career was over. One Lumpinee promoter named Lieutenant General Sukkhatat Pumphanmuang showed the down-and-out fighter compassion, and helped Saiyok re-invent himself. Saiyok took the promoter’s name and shot to fame once more, winning the vacant Lumpinee title in 2008 against Singsiri Por Sirichai. Some of the battles featured in this highlight include fights against Fabio Pinca, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, Chanajon PK Saenchai Gym, Armen Petrosyan, Antuan Pinto, Jordan Watson and Karuehas Eakchoompon.
