Known to fans as “Joker” Sting but officially dubbed the “Insane Icon”, the Stinger’s new gimmick was heavily inspired by the movie “The Dark Knight” as Steve Borden looked (and acted) like The Joker. With Hulk Hogan and the Immortal faction as his main rivals, Sting would entertain fans of TNA with this new and odd character. Some fans loved it, some fans didn’t, but it’s a very interesting part of The Stinger’s career that’s extremely fascinating to look at.
