But his story in M-1 had quite rough start. M-1 Challenge 83 event took place in Kazan, Russian, in 2017. Five days before this event Alexey Nevzorov injured his knee, so experienced Brazilian striker Diego Davela left without the opponent. Davela had a lot of titles in BJJ and luta livre, also he won in 18 of his 24 pro fights in MMA. Diego won against Zalimbeg Omarov in his M-1 debut. Burumankul had 8 victories by the finishes and lost only 3 times, all by the judge decisions.
