Mona Kimura had never faced an opponent quite like Marine Nicol. The undefeated Japanese kickboxer known worldwide as the “Real-Life Chun-Li” entered K-1 WORLD MAX 2026 with a perfect professional record. But standing across from her was a much more experienced fighter. Marine Nicol arrived with 31 professional fights and 25 victories, along with major titles from Savate and WAKO competition. COMBAT-PLAZA For three rounds, Nicol refused to let Mona control the distance. She matched Mona's long-range attacks, pressured her with punches, and repeatedly forced the fight into uncomfortable exchanges. Then the judges called it a draw. One extra round would decide everything. And that's when Mona Kimura changed the fight.
