If the first Pokémon encountered is the same as a Pokémon you've previously caught, you can ignore it and catch the next encounter. 3. If your Pokémon faints it is considered dead, therefore you must put it in a "death" box. 4. If you encounter a Shiny Pokemon at any point, you may catch it.
