The technique begins by stepping forward with the lead foot while pushing from the rear foot to generate forward drive. The elbow travels upward as the torso rotates slightly, allowing the strike to remain compact while protecting the face from counters. The lead hand stays tight to the head to maintain defensive coverage. In this lesson, Kru Jack demonstrates the correct mechanics and shows how to practice the right uppercut elbow using Muay Thai pads.
