Quite honestly I think this movie would have been a lot better if they had left the main character without much dialog. The beginning of the movie was intriguing and if they had continued the rest of the film that way it would have been so much better. A slow unrolling of the events that happened along with the where/when/why and hows would have been perfect. It would have kept me interested and curious as to how the whole mess happened. But giving the main character too much dialog just ruined it as his speaking parts and that of some of the co-stars just came off as stiff, wooden acting. It really ruined the whole movie for me sadly.

Like others have said, I watched it until the end, to see if it made any kind of point. The movie raises questions that it never really answers but you don't care. It has some flashbacks to before the main character is imprisoned but it doesn't add much depth to the characters. I was lucky I had captions so I could understand what the voice was saying. Don't waste your time.

This movie took 1 hour 23 minutes to tell 5 minutes of story. I had to force myself 4 times to keep watching. Example: Girl wakes up on the floor and says, "Where is everybody?" before she even gets up and "looks" for everybody. After the first 13 minutes of solitude, I was frequently thinking, "We get it, already. He's in solitude." Probably one of the worst things was the obscure voice coming from the speaker(s) in the cell. I'd bet 50% of it was indecipherable to most people. it was too distorted to add anything of value to the story without excessive effort and/or rewinding and listening several times. Time from my life lost forever.

As the other review said, I had to keep making myself continue to watch, Hoping there was a point. I should have just stopped. Not A Spoiler - there is a 4-5 minute scene of flashing between someone being tortured and war scenes. I fast forwarded because it was boring and very unnecessary to go on that long. Some parts were interesting, but taking so long to get to the point and the drawn out scenes don't make it worth the time.

There is 0 points to this movie. It was a nice attempt at trying to have some sort of symbolism...but it gell way flat. Way flat!
