This movie is a true feel-good watch. It's full of second-hand embarrassment and characters doing things you want to yell at them not to do, but it slips through these elements with a heavy dose of authenticity that leaves you feeling satisfied and inspired when the credits roll. It's wonderful watching this insane cast of characters come together and learning each of their quirks. It feels like a human-made movie, which is becoming more rare with each day as studios pump out more content that's been focus-grouped to death. Don't miss this one.

9/10 stars for me. Love the song they sing at the end in the van. Girl in the hat was kinda "bouncey," if that makes sense, and I thought her performance had a lot of heart. It's like someone took the movie Jesus camp and turned it into the Office. Definitely worth watching! Pop some popcorn, pack a bowl, and laugh as this movie reminds you of just how weird youth group truly was.

As a recovering Catholic - this movie spoke to me in a way that was charming, funny, shocking and even a little heartwarming at times. Anyone who grew up in New England and went to Youth Group or even CCD will be able to relate to this and laugh, even at versions of our younger selves.

I was VERY impressed how real and hilarious the performances are in this movie! Absolutely a good time!

Serious feels watching this film! Right from the start I was brought back to middle school, being dropped off by mom and being forced into youth group. This movie captured so many moments that relate to standouts from years of time with awkward teens, and overindulging "leaders" ie. Kids as adults helping kids... 10 out of 10 hilarious and a perfect satire of fun!

Growing up going to youth group and church camp, this movie hit all the nostalgia feels in the best way possible. I loved how they poked fun at all the things I found ridiculous at the time (or seem weird now looking back) but also had moments where characters were really genuine and sincere. Also, so many "Christian" movies are WEIRD and cringe in a bad way so I loved how they took risks and made it genuinely funny.

I was raised Evangelical and am an Atheist, and really wanted to like this movie. The first third was hilarious, but then it started to get more and more stupid. It could have explored more the beliefs and made fun of them. Instead, it concentrated in the (extremely) childish competitions that were not even well acted. To add insult to injury, the shaky camera and constant zooming in and out almost ruined this movie. I know it is supposed to look like a documentary, but they overdid it. Pity. Missed opportunity.

Don't listen to the trolls! This is a perfect movie, delivishly funny and cathartic especially if you've ever experienced Christian summer camp or participated in a evangelical youth group. Bonus points if your youth pastor had a goatee!
